Nausea: Nausea, particularly in the morning, is a common early symptom of pregnancy. This is often due to hormonal changes or not eating enough.
Constipation: This pregnancy symptom is common when there are hormonal changes or an expectant mother requires more vitamins in her diet.
Heartburn: When a woman is pregnant, early pregnancy symptoms such as heartburn occur because the passage of food through the stomach decreases which causes an increased release of stomach acid.
Mood Swings: This is a common symptom of pregnancy due to sudden hormonal changes. Moods can vary from being sad, depressed, happy, and excited. She may cry at unusual times. She may also start worrying about such things as money, caring for a new born baby…etc.
Irritability: Most women become irritable when they are pregnant. This is usually the result of changes in hormones.
Slight Fever: An elevated body temperature can be an early symptom of pregnancy. One’s face may feel warm to the touch.
Low Back Pain: Lower back pain is a common pregnancy symptom. This can be due to weight gain or the baby growing in the uterus. As well, the body is changing as it prepares for the birth.
